Power Yoga combines the elements of Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. Power Yoga incorporates props (like cushions and ropes) to help develop one’s posture. This is extremely effective for people who want to tone their bodies.

Posture is just as important as the pose. Many Yoga instructors emphasize that it is imperative to keep the body properly aligned. In this way, the body is able to rest and recover between poses. In fact, a good Yoga instructor will often use props to ensure that the body is balanced.

To really understand what is happening in Yoga, you must take a look at the Sanskrit texts and wordings. In fact, a lot of the words are borrowed from Sanskrit itself. This may sound a little strange to some people, but if you think about it, it makes sense.

Sanskrit is the language of the ancients, so in modern times it would make a lot of sense to translate this ancient language into modern language. Unfortunately, the English language does not share the same ancient culture and is therefore used for many things that should be translated into English. This is the reason why yoga and Sanskrit have such a deep connection.
