The term “yoga” is not a modern invention. As an ancient art, yoga has been around for centuries.

Hatha – Meditation. Hatha yoga is a form of relaxation yoga that promotes the practice of self-mastery. Though slow and deliberate breathing, the student begins to relax and calm his or her mind. Chakras – Inner centers in the body that are energy channels. They bring vibrations to your body. The conscious mind will be brought to awareness through the senses. There are seven main chakras: the crown chakra (service), the root chakra (thought), the throat chakra (speech), the solar plexus chakra (health), the heart chakra (spirit), the diaphragm chakra (breath), and the Sahasrara chakra (life force).
Chakras are regulated by three forces: the sun, moon, and stars. The sun radiates positive energy and the moon reflects the negative, and the stars bestow their energy on the sun and moon.
Hatha yoga is taught with the help of props such as a mat and a strap. Hatha poses that do not require props (such as headstands) can be done without any equipment whatsoever. In Hatha yoga, the student focuses on his or her own movement while learning how to use his or her own body weight to keep the spine straight.
Hatha is a way of meditation, a set of postures, and physical exercises. Like other forms of yoga, Hatha does not attempt to teach one to leave his or her feelings behind, nor does it try to cure specific diseases. Hatha teaches the benefit of complete relaxation.
